What I Wore | Down by the Bay
The best view in town!
Even though my hometown is only about a mile across, I don't get over to the bay side of the island as often as I probably should. It's easy to get caught up in the busy bustle of daily life and forget to take some time to appreciate where one lives, but make sure you take a little bit of time every so often to explore where you live and celebrate it.
For me, the Ferry Landing is one of the best spots in town because it offers the most spectacular views of downtown San Diego. There's also plenty of good restaurants to choose from, like Saiko Sushi where my mom and I went for lunch, or my personal favorite, Tartine. But man, that view...it's hard to beat it!
It's been a bit chilly in San Diego (typical June gloom) so I wore a sweatshirt from Anthropologie and a white ruffle skirt from J. Crew. I love this sweatshirt because it's super cozy, but the front is printed silk, so it's a more elevated take on a classic, casual piece.
After lunch, we went shopping, and I scored a knit tank top and pair of shorts from Madewell along with a sassy pair of sunglasses from Urban Outfitters! I'd say it was a successful day!
