What I Wore | Bodysuit for Fall

The art of layering

Bodysuits were a big trend this spring, and based on a recent trip to The Grove, they're just as popular for fall, too! I have quite a few bodysuits in my wardrobe, but all of them are rather daring, with either off-the-shoulder cuts or deep necklinces. In the summer, all you have to do is pair with a flowy skirt or cute cut-off shorts, and you're good to go, but colder temperatures call for more layers.

To style my bodysuit for fall (mine is from Nasty Gal and sold out, but a similar style is available here) I threw a black double-breasted jacket over and buttoned up my denim A-line skirt from Urban Outfitters.

Because my bodysuit is rather low-cut, I didn't want to keep my legs bare, so I wore thigh-high socks with my classic black ankle boots. They have a fun texture that adds intrigue to the look, and it's an easy way to get the OTK boot look if you haven't saved up for Stuart Weitzman Highlands yet.
